Kazakh Health Ministry: reports of cholera outbreak in Russia untrue

The Kazakh Health Ministry denied information about the outbreak of cholera in Russia and the contamination of water. Such fake news is spread on social networks. This year, a favorable epidemic situation with cholera remains in our country, the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control reports. Local cholera cases have not been registered over the past 10 years, and imported ones since 2020. Rivers and water bodies are constantly monitored every year during the epidemic season. Samples of both drinking water and in places of mass water use, such as in pools, fountains and water parks, are also being examined, the Health Ministry noted.
