Kazakhstan launches national selection for Junior Eurovision 2021

Kazakhstan is now accepting applications for participating in the national selection for this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The age of the children is one of the main requirements. Those who wish to take part in the competition must be at least nine years of age and no more than 14 years old. Young singers can submit an application on the ‘Khabar.kz’ website until October 6. This year, candidates will be selected online.

“On October 7, the jury will select only 30 applicants out of all the children who sent applications. On October 12, the ‘Khabar.kz’ website will publish a list of those who made it to the next round. The next stage is the audience voting that will determine the top 10 contestants, who will participate in the final round of the national selection. The winner will be chosen live. It will be held on November 6 on Khabar TV channel. There we will identify this year’s entry from Kazakhstan who will defend the honor of the nation in the international contest,” said the producer Aida Tleukhan.

This year, the final of the Junior Eurovision will be held in a traditional format in the capital of France Paris. 19 countries will participate in Europe’s most popular song contest. “Khabar” Agency had been providing information support to the international project since 2016.
