New
development directions for Kazakhstan outlined in President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev’s state-of-the-nation address were discussed at today’s government
meeting. They include enhancing national budget revenues, improving the
investment climate, unlocking industrial potential, advancing the real sector
of the economy, and addressing infrastructure issues. Prime Minister Olzhas
Bektenov gave a number of specific instructions to the relevant agencies,
noting that the address serves as a strategic guide for the country and
society.
«We are receiving not just guidance for the near-term
period but a clear action plan with specific tasks, targets, and indicators.
The implementation of each point will be strictly monitored, with the final
result and its impact on the economy being the primary focus. The unwavering
goal of the government’s work is to boost the income of citizens. Creating
favorable conditions for business, ensuring employment, and the rational
distribution of the state budget will enable to achieve significant economic
progress»,- Bektenov
said.
In the
agricultural sector, the government plans to tighten control over the rational
use of agricultural land, with a redesigned land withdrawal commission
overseeing this effort. Next year, the volume of preferential lending to
farmers will reach 800 billion tenge, involving second-tier banks. Moreover,
the government aims to boost the export of domestic finished products to
foreign markets.
«A new export promotion approach is
being implemented, focused on cargo air transportation, primarily of
agricultural and food industry products. It focuses on the markets of countries
of high export interest identified in the national development plan of
Kazakhstan until 2029»,- noted Kazakh
Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin.
