Over the next five years, the average annual
growth of Kazakhstan’s economy is projected at 5.8 percent. Kazakh Minister of
National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov announced a baseline scenario in the
country’s government. Nominal GDP growth will increase from 135 trillion tenge in
2024 to 218.5 trillion tenge in 2028, as noted by Kuantyrov. Besides, in the
period from 2026 to 2028, the country’s inflation rate is expected to decline
to five percent. The volume of domestic exports will also increase. If it
reaches $83 billion next year, then in five years it will amount to almost $95
billion. According to Kuantyrov, growth is expected in all basic sectors of the
economy.
“Thus, the average annual growth rate in the industrial sector will amount to four percent, including 4.9 percent in manufacturing and 3.1 percent in mining.
The average annual growth rate of gross agricultural output will reach 4.5 percent.
Projected growth in the construction industry will average 8.8 percent and in
trade - 7.4 percent,” said Kuantyrov.
