As part of French
President Emmanuel Macron's official visit to Kazakhstan, a delegation
representing 80 leading French companies visited Astana to participate in a
bilateral business forum. Around 200 representatives from Kazakhstan’s business
circles also took part in the event aimed at establishing relations. The agenda
focused on promising projects in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, agriculture,
energy, mechanical engineering, logistics and transport. Following the forum,
the parties signed about 20 commercial agreements worth around $1.5 billion.
“These agreements
will be put into action. Currently, we have around 33 investment projects at
various stages of implementation, with a total value of about $5 billion,” Ardak
Zebeshev, Chairman of Kazakh Foreign Ministry’s Investment Committee, said.
