Final Census results to be published in 2023

The final results of the census carried out in Kazakhstan are scheduled to be presented in the first quarter of 2023. This was announced by the Head of the Bureau of National Statistics Nurbolat Aidapkelov. According to him, there were 3,500 special stations and a 24-hour call center 1446 operating during the census conduction process. About 25,000 staff were involved in collecting data. Aidapkelov also noted that Kazakh citizens had been very active in the electronic census. This corresponds to the European average of online survey engagement.

“The census covered all categories of the population. 42.5 percent of Kazakh citizens completed an online survey, while 57.5 percent responded during door-to-door visits. As you can see, the country's population took an active part in the online census. The Bureau has started processing the data received and plans to provide preliminary data in December this year. According to the action plan, the census results are scheduled for mid-2022, and we plan to publish the full census results in the first quarter of 2023,” said Nurbolat Aidapkelov, Head of Bureau of National Statistics.
