Archaeologists uncover new data on ancient history of Turkistan region

Archaeologists have discovered new data on the ancient history of the Turkistan region. Clay brick kilns were found in the Azret Sultan state historical and cultural reserve museum. It is believed that the objects found on the banks of the Karashyk River date back to the 14th century and were built during the construction of the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. Previous discoveries in the area included places for drying bricks and a furnace for smelting non-ferrous metals, dating to the ancient era. According to scientists, after a complete study of the monument—much of which is under the rubble—it will be possible to create an open-air museum along the Turkistan - Kyzylorda highway.
