President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a
telegram of condolences to Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in
connection with the numerous casualties and injuries caused by the fire at the
Kartalkaya ski resort. On behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and himself, the Head
of State extended sincere condolences to Türkiye’s President, the families of
the victims, and the entire brotherly Turkish people, wishing a speedy recovery
to those injured. Notably, 79 people lost their lives in the fire at the
12-story hotel, and over 50 were injured. The Kazakh Foreign Ministry confirmed
that no Kazakh citizens were among the victims.
