Kazakhstan will continue its humanitarian and educational
initiatives to ensure security and stability in Afghanistan. This was announced
during a meeting between the Head of State and the Special Representative of
the Kazakh President for Afghanistan, Yerkin Tukumov. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev
emphasized the important role of the Special Representative and instructed him
to promote effective cooperation with Afghanistan, primarily in the trade,
economic, and humanitarian sectors. He also highlighted the importance of
actively leveraging the potential of the UN Regional Centre for Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty.
