Conditions
should be created in Kazakhstan to enhance the performance of national teams in
international competitions, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated during a meeting with National Olympic
Committee President Gennadiy Golovkin. The Head of State was briefed on the
NOC’s activities and upcoming plans. Golovkin outlined joint measures with the
relevant ministry to improve sports infrastructure, train athletes, and elevate
the country’s prestige on the international stage. President Tokayev underscored
the significance of the Organization’s tasks in promoting and strengthening
Olympic sports and congratulated Golovkin on his appointment as Chair of World
Boxing’s Olympic Commission.
