In the first half of 2025, Almaty's short-term economic
indicator grew by 11%, while investments in fixed capital rose by more than
25%. Mayor Darkhan Satybaldy presented these results and outlined the city's
socio-economic development prospects to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He
also briefed the Head of State on Almaty’s polycentric development model, the
creation of a transport framework, and efforts to ensure a comfortable living
environment for residents. President Tokayev instructed that the construction
of social infrastructure and tourism cluster facilities continue as outlined in
the master plan.
