Kassym-Jomart Tokayev meets with President of World Anti-Doping Agency

President met with Witold Bańka, President of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). During the meeting, the two sides discussed expanding cooperation between Kazakhstan and WADA, combating systemic violations, and maintaining unified standards for clean sport. The Head of State noted that the Kazakh Ministry of Tourism and Sports operates the only anti-doping laboratory in Central Asia. This facility also serves as the base for the Regional Anti-Doping Organization, which includes Kazakhstan and seven other countries. Witold Bańka praised the high level of cooperation with Kazakhstan’s national sports institutions. At the conclusion of the meeting, President Tokayev awarded Witold Bańka the Order of Dostyk, 2nd Class, in recognition of his contribution to the development of sports in Kazakhstan.
