Today,
Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed his condolences to the Head of State
following the deaths of passengers, including Kazakh citizens, in the plane
crash near Aktau. 14 Azerbaijani citizens who were injured in the crash have
returned to their homeland. They arrived in Baku on a special flight, with half
of them immediately transferred to a clinic for continued treatment. Meanwhile,
six individuals are still receiving medical care at a multidisciplinary
hospital in the Mangystau region: three from Azerbaijan and three from the
Kyrgyz Republic. Four of them are in intensive care. All victims are receiving
the necessary medical care. A government commission, led by Deputy Prime
Minister Kanat Bozumbayev, is working to determine the cause of the Aktau plane
crash. During a recent briefing, Bozumbayev announced that, in accordance with
Kazakh legislation, representatives from Russia and Azerbaijan will not be
involved in the forensic investigation. He urged everyone to await the results
of the official investigation.
«After the
forensic examinations are conducted, a definitive conclusion will be reached by
the investigation. Officially, we have not received any version from any
country—neither from Russia nor from Azerbaijan,» Bozumbayev said.
Families of
plane crash victims to receive financial assistance
Azerbaijan
Airlines will provide financial assistance to the victims and the families of
those who lost their lives. The Kazakh government will offer support to its
citizens, including both one-time and monthly payments. Families who have lost
their breadwinners will also receive monthly assistance until the children come
of age.
«As for guaranteed government payments, they will be made
from the national budget. I cannot speak about each family, as that involves
personal data. As an example, I can say that a monthly allowance for a family
due to the loss of a breadwinner will amount to 138,000 tenge until the
dependents reach adulthood. Payments from the state social insurance fund will
total 357,000 tenge per month,» said Akmadi Sarbassov, Kazakh First Vice
Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
Today,
representatives from the aircraft manufacturer Embraer arrived in Aktau from
Brazil to participate in the crash investigation. Additionally, specialists
from the Aircraft Accident Investigation and Prevention Center are expected to
arrive in the coming days.
