Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the mayor of the capital Altai Kulginov, who informed the Head of State about the social, economic and infrastructural development of Nur-Sultan in the first half of 2022. He also reported on the increase of affordable housing for citizens on the waiting list, the completion of shared construction projects, solving the problem of three-shift schools through the construction of new ones, as well as gas infrastructure expansion, development of residential areas and attracting private investment.
President Tokayev supported the work carried out by mayoral office and instructed Kulginov to continue developing infrastructure of the capital, as well as solving the pressing issues of citizens.
“The President instructed to focus on the capital’s infrastructural development. For example, this is the timely launch of heating networks. A combined heat and power plant 3 is being constructed in the city. Work is carried out to provide residents with drinking water, because the population in the capital grows every year. Accordingly, besides that, we have to build a pumping and filtration plant. In addition, work is underway to upgrade utility networks and reconstruct power substations,” the mayor commented.
