A new integrated industrial park for non-ferrous metals
production is set to be established in Kazakhstan. The project’s prospects were
discussed by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Liu Yongxing, Chairman of
China’s East Hope Group. The initiative aims to establish a full production
cycle for green aluminum products - from raw material extraction to advanced
processing with high added value. In the first phase, an alumina mining and
processing plant and an aluminum electrolysis facility will be constructed.
Power supply will be provided through renewable energy sources. The project
will be implemented in three stages using cutting-edge green technologies.
Bektenov instructed the relevant ministries to provide full support for its
implementation. The Chinese side, in turn, committed to training local
personnel and gradually increasing the share of Kazakh specialists.
