E-LIGHT international festival held in Astana

Kazakhstan and China are strengthening dialogue through youth engagement. The E-LIGHT forum, a project of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), was held in Astana. It brought together around 100 delegates, including experts, representatives of the energy sector, diplomats, and young professionals. Participants discussed the prospects of the Energy Silk Road between Central Asian countries and China, the introduction of digital solutions into the economy, as well as issues related to the professional development of young people. Organizers noted that young engineers and entrepreneurs are becoming an important part of technological upgrading processes and international cooperation. The meeting resulted in the adoption of a declaration formalizing youth cooperation.

«For us, it is important that Kazakhstan is hosting this initiative and serving as a platform for such a dialogue. We want to showcase not only our company’s achievements, but also our vision of the future – one driven by digitalization, new technologies, energy development, and cultural interaction among young people. We believe that the adoption of the declaration will encourage young people to take an active part in joint initiatives and further strengthen cooperation between our countries,» noted Hongjin Wu, Head of External Relations at CNPC.

«One of the key objectives of today’s forum is to establish effective cooperation among international partners, enabling us to exchange experience not only on industrial and technical issues. The event has also brought together representatives of the scientific community who are ready to share their ideas and forecasts for the next 5, 10, and 20 years. Their insights will help us shape our future strategy in the fields of artificial intelligence, digitalization, and automation,» said Yerzhan Abylkhanov, Managing Director, CNPC International Kazakhstan.
