The Kazakhstan section
of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) is set to increase oil throughput to
72.5 million tons per year, with the technical capacity already in place. A new
bypass connecting the pipeline to a domestic pumping station has been built and
commissioned. CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban shared this update during a
meeting with the Prime Minister. The parties also reviewed progress on key
investment programs and the modernization of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk pipeline. As
noted at the meeting, the CPC’s marine terminal is expected to ship its
one-billionth ton of oil in October.
