Foreign media explore Kazakhstan’s culinary traditions

Beshbarmak, kazy, karta, sirne, kymyz, baursaks, and tary - Kazakh national cuisine attracts foreign tourists with its richness and diversity. Experts say that culinary traditions are becoming a new point of attraction for those who love unique flavors. As a result, travelers are increasingly choosing Kazakhstan to enjoy its gastronomic delights  and experience the hospitality of the local people. Bloggers and foreign media are also showing interest in Kazakh cuisine, with many visiting cafes and restaurants in Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent.

«By reviving its national cuisine and traditions, Kazakhstan is positioning itself as a destination for cultural tourists, including gastronomic tourists. This shift has been highlighted by global media, which have noted the emergence of neo-nomadic cuisine. Last year, The New York Times featured several restaurants specializing in modern nomadic cuisine and included them in its recommended destinations. This year, CNN Travel has also recognized the potential of Kazakh gastronomy, sparking global interest, including from media outlets in China,» noted  Daniyel Serzhanuly, Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh Tourism National Company.
