A concert by the Dina Nurpeisova Orchestra of
Folk Instruments was held in Ashgabat. On the stage of the capital’s Musical
Drama Theatre, well-known works by Abai Kozimnin Karasy and Aittym
Salem, Kalamkas, along with compositions by prominent Kazakh composers were
performed. The classical music of the steppe drew a full house, with the
audience including heads and representatives of the diplomatic corps, cultural
figures, as well as residents and guests of the capital. The concert was
dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbaiuly and the Republic Day of
