In the Turkistan
region, Dutch roses are being cultivated using modern technologies. A
1.5-hectare greenhouse has been planted with 105,000 rose bushes, featuring 10
different varieties. The seedlings, imported from the Netherlands, have adapted
well to their new environment. Local farmers believe that only through the
integration of science and modern technologies in agriculture can high yields
be achieved. Supplies to the domestic market have already begun, with plans to
export the roses in the future. The farmers also intend to expand the
greenhouse and harvest up to 10 million flowers annually. The cost of this private
investment project exceeds one billion tenge.
«The seedlings are Dutch, and along with specialists from the Netherlands, we have implemented an innovative rose cultivation technology. We start from scratch — from planting to the final product. We have established a fully integrated production cycle,» said farm manager Daniyar Kaltayev.
«First, we measure the
stem length and prepare the packaging accordingly. The price matches the
quality. Our flowers are the freshest. In addition to Kazakhstan, they are also
shipped to Uzbekistan,» shared resident of Jibek Joly village Minovar Karimova.
