Kazakhstan is
preparing for the coming spring. Today, at a government hour in the Senate, the
upper house of Parliament, officials discussed flood control measures,
emphasizing the important role of local executive bodies in preventing and
eliminating emergencies. The country has also introduced new government
structures, including a command center for strategic planning and operational
management, which integrates several digital services for forecasting, modeling
and analyzing man-made and natural disasters. Additionally, the Ministry of
Emergency Situations has mobilized a response team of over 37,000 personnel to
tackle potential spring floods, noting that more than 1,200 settlements are
currently at risk.
