Film Lecture Series «From Chronicle To The Future» Tours Kazakhstan

Screenings of documentary films produced by the Kazakh President’s TV and Radio Complex continue as part of the nationwide film lecture series From Chronicle to the Future. In Aktau, audiences were presented with the film Travel Kazakhstan. The documentary showcases the country’s picturesque landscapes, popular tourist routes, and the people who travel across Kazakhstan. The filmmakers highlight how tourism is developing, what Kazakhstan has to offer foreign visitors, and how the country can become a leading tourist destination. Residents also watched The Man from Kulaly Island. The film tells the story of Pyotr Lupenkov, head of a hydrometeorological station, who lived for many years on an island in the Caspian Sea.

«The film’s main message is dedication to one’s work, as well as a respectful attitude toward nature, its study, and preservation. In my view, the film also reflects the principles of the Taza Kazakhstan environmental campaign launched at the initiative of the Head of State. Taza Kazakhstan is not just about cleaning up litter; it is primarily about shaping public awareness and fostering an environmental culture,» said Marat Abzal, member of the Mangystau Regional Maslikhat.

In Atyrau, audiences were presented with the documentary films Aral and Sert. Aral tells the story of fisherman Kuntugan Turgynbayev. Through his life, the film reflects the lives of people living along its shores. In turn, Sert depicts how Kazakhstan overcame the consequences of the devastating spring floods of 2024.

«Today we watched a film about overcoming the flood. And this flood brought people together, showing that unity, friendship, and harmony can overcome any obstacles. These films must be shown in all educational institutions, because that is essential. When there is peace, understanding, and support, all barriers can be overcome,» said Aktau resident Raissa Bitkova.
