The film lecture series «From Chronicle to the Future» by the Kazakh President’s TV and Radio Complex continues to tour the country’s regions. The latest screening took place in Oral, where audiences watched the documentaries «Aral» and «Sert». «Aral» tells the story of fisherman Kuntugan Turgynbayev, using his personal journey to explore the lives of people in the Aral region. «Sert» focuses on the aftermath of the devastating spring floods of 2024 and the country’s recovery from the disaster. The project gives residents across the country an opportunity to watch documentary films about key moments in the history of independent Kazakhstan, as well as people whose personal stories reflect life in Kazakhstan.
«The
film deeply moved me. At the time, I was with people affected by the floods and
helped them as much as I could. The President of our country visited my
hometown, Karatobe district. He promised that all necessary assistance would be
provided to those affected, and all those promises were fulfilled. After
watching the documentary, those emotions returned. It felt as if I were
reliving everything that had happened,» said Oral resident Alikhan Yeskaziyev.
