An exhibition of the Kazakh artist Gulbaram Askarova entitled “Collage of thoughts” has opened in Nur-Sultan. It presents not paintings, but art objects made from different materials and elements in an unusual technique. The event was organized by the Library of the First President as part of the project “Cultural Code of Independence”. Its goal is to showcase the works of Kazakh authors who form the foundation of the Kazakh culture. The exposition displays nearly 50 works by the artist made over the past two years. According to the author, they help spectators find new facets of their soul.
“Mainly travel, books and music inspire me, and all these impressions I put together into my own works. I have been making these works for three years. One can say that all of them are new. There are even works, which were made during the quarantine. Some of the works were duplicated, because they were sold abroad. I hope that this exhibition will resonate in the souls of people. Perhaps, they will find something for themselves. The exhibition will last a month,” Askarova, a member of Kazakhstan’s Union of Artists, said.
