Exhibition of string instruments in honor of Dombyra Day

A unique exhibition of folk musical instruments was opened at the National State Museum ahead of Dombyra Day. 175 exhibits were presented to the public. The most valuable of them are the instruments of prominent personalities of Kazakh culture such as Amre Kashaubayev, Zhayau Mussa, Kulyash Baiseitova.

“It seems gratifying that unique instruments of such great personalities are stored in the museum. The visitors like this museum. It's really interesting here,” opined Kairat Baibossynov, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan.

“Dombyra has always been the soul of the Kazakh people and a faithful companion. Dombyra is our valuable heritage. We are pleased that the entire holiday was dedicated to this instrument. We really want to make our collection interesting, especially for the younger generation,” said Rashida Kharipova, Head of the Kazakh Central State Museum.
