Eurasian Economic Union launches joint recruitment platform

The “Work without Borders” service was launched in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. The international recruitment system is the first joint digital project of the union’s member states. Today, more than 2 million CVs and 500,000 vacancies from the national labor exchanges of five states are posted on the single platform.

“This is a vivid example of active, close cooperation between the commission and the authorized bodies of the Union states, operators. This is a rather hard work, which we managed to do in a well-coordinated manner. As a result, we received a project that we hope will be useful to the citizens of our countries. For everyone who want to use this service, I will briefly note that the current systems of five countries are involved in the “Work without Borders” project. It is important. For example, Armenia has the information system for recruiting “Gorz”. Speaking of Belarus, it is the information portal of the state employment service. In Kazakhstan, it is the information portal “Work,” said Gegham Vardanyan, EEC Minister for Internal Markets, Informatization, Information and Communication Technologies.

According to the expert, the integration of the national labor exchanges of Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Russia has been held since last year. The list of vacancies is very diverse – from professions where qualifications are not required to managers in various companies. In order to work in one of the EAEU countries, citizens need to conclude an agreement with an employer.

“Additional permits are not required for the states of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Citizens of these countries have equal rights to employment, it is enough to sign a contract with an employer, which also provides for the rights and obligations of the employee and the employer. The employment contract is drawn up, of course, according to the labor legislation of the country where the employment takes place,” noted Nikolay Bryukhanov, Chief of Staff at the Workforce Development Center.

Almost 30,000 foreign citizens will be able to work in Kazakhstan this year. To protect the internal market, every year Kazakh Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population sets a quota for attracting specialists from other states to the country. According to the department’s estimates, more than 15,000 labor migrants are currently working in Kazakhstan. Most came from China. Citizens of Uzbekistan, Turkey, India and the United Kingdom work on the territory of Kazakhstan as well.
