Plans are in place
to train up to 160,000 students under the dual system of education in
Kazakhstan’s vocational education institutions by 2029, doubling the current
number. Overall, in two years, more than 40,000 graduates entered the labor
market, bringing with them work experience of up to 1.5 years. By 2025, there
are plans for a 100 percent coverage of young people with free training in
in-demand professions. By that time, the volume of state orders for technical
specialties is planned to reach 70 percent, as announced by the country’s
Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev.
“Additionally,
targeted training of personnel is carried out upon request from enterprises,
ensuring employment commitments. Currently, it is covering 20,000 students, and
the plan is to extend this training to 80,000 students by 2029,” Beisembayev
said.
