Last year, over 70,000 foreign tourists
visited the Mangystau region, according to data from the eQonaq system, with
more than 100 accommodation options registered. Various events are being held to
enhance the region’s tourism potential. To promote the region, the
visit.mangystau.kz website has been launched, providing essential travel
information and details about local attractions. Plans are in place to
integrate the site with the 2GIS digital reference map. Additionally, more than
100 historical and cultural sites in the Mangystau region are set to be
included in this electronic system. An interactive map of the region’s sacred
sites has also been developed in three languages.
«According to official statistics, we have
seen a positive trend each year. Compared to the previous year, there has been
an 18.1% increase. Over the past four years, our growth has averaged around 30%
annually. Therefore, I believe the work is being carried out in the right
direction. In terms of digitalization, significant efforts are underway, with a
primary focus on the eQonaq system,» noted Yersin Ibrashev, head of the Tourism
Department of the Mangystau region.
