Construction accounts for 6% of Kazakhstan’s
GDP. Last year, over 19 million square meters were built across the country,
including more than 170,000 residential units. In the first half of 2025, over
120 schools and kindergartens, as well as 30 medical centers and clinics, were
constructed nationwide. Overall, the volume of construction work has increased
by 18% since the beginning of the year. These figures were presented by the government,
where Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov congratulated industry workers on their
professional holiday on behalf of the Head of State. Bektenov noted that a new
Construction Code has been developed as part of the implementation of the
President’s directives.
«I would like to once again express my sincere
gratitude to the Head of State for reinstating the title of Honored Builder of
Kazakhstan as a state award. This is a special recognition of us – builders –
and I wish all those here today, as well as all builders across the country,
good health and continued success,» said construction industry veteran Kaisar
Omarov.
