The CIS countries are expanding cooperation in the scientific and
technological sphere, particularly in digital transformation and the introduction
of AI technologies. A number of international documents were signed at the
meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in Minsk. These include the
Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development for 2026–2035, the
Strategy for Cooperation in Developing the Information Society and
Digital Economy, as well as the Strategy on Digitalization of Key Multimodal Transport Corridors. The latter is
expected to accelerate transportation and enhance transparency, thereby
reducing costs. Prime Minister
Olzhas Bektenov emphasized that Kazakhstan pays particular attention to the export of domestic digital solutions and
actively shares its expertise with foreign partners. The CIS remains a reliable platform for cooperation and mutually beneficial
decisions. The total GDP of the Commonwealth grows annually by an
average of 4.5%, while internal trade has increased by 40% over the past five
years. Last year, Kazakhstan’s total trade turnover with CIS countries exceeded
$37 billion.
