A joint Kazakh-South Korean facility for producing multimedia systems with Kazakh language integration for cars has opened in Almaty. Investments in the Kazakhstan Mobility Engineering plant totaled 15.5 billion tenge. The new enterprise aims to localize production and support Kazakhstan’s auto industry, using technologies from its South Korean partner, Motrex, a global multimedia systems supplier for major automakers. The project plans to establish a full production cycle with high localization, using domestic raw materials and components. Additionally, factories for producing car seats, rubber, and plastic products, as well as a logistics hub, are expected to launch in Almaty’s industrial zone.
