Agriculture, the food industry, tourism, economics, and
digital technologies — these are the fields of study available to students at a
newly opened branch of an Italian university in Kazakhstan. The campus of
Marche Polytechnic University is located at Zhetisu University, named after
Ilyas Zhansugurov. Lectures will be delivered by Italian scholars and
professors, and students will have the opportunity to take part in joint
scientific research and international internships. Upon graduation, they will
receive diplomas from both universities.
«The double degree program is a great opportunity for us to
grow in this field and, in the future, explore opportunities abroad. It also
offers rich cultural exposure. I hope to work in Italy one day, gain valuable
experience, and perhaps return to contribute to this university,» said student Merei
Polat.
«This is an opportunity to connect with new people,
especially our international professors. We gain unique knowledge and have the
chance to prove ourselves through various projects. We’re introduced to new
technologies and recognize that the future holds the potential for significant
change. It’s clear that our government is committed to supporting Kazakhstan's
development and its entry into global markets. We also see real opportunities
to become specialists in this field,» said student Balym Seksenbai.
It’s worth noting that 11 branches of foreign universities
are set to open in Kazakhstan this year. In 2024, campuses of 23 international
universities began operating in the country.
