A book by writer and playwright Dulat Issabekov for the first time was published in the homeland of Alfred Nobel in Swedish. It was translated by academician Bengt Samuelsson. The book includes five well-known novels of the author, such as ‘Gaukhartas’, ‘Wormwood’, ‘The Transit Passenger’, ‘Suiyekshi’, and ‘We Never Knew the War’, as well as several stories written by him. The book, which was praised by Swedish critics, was published in 1,000 copies. Many European theaters are interested in staging plays by the Kazakh playwright. The theaters of Vienna, Zurich and Brussels are preparing to stage the play Borte. Issabekov received a special diploma of recognition from the third Eurasian Film Festival for the film ‘Baluan Sholak’, which was based on the writer's works.
“On June 28, the film was screened at the Film Festival in London. Unfortunately, I couldn’t come. But I am very pleased to receive the Audience Choice Award. Public love is the highest assessment,” said Dulat Issabekov, a writer.
