The presentation of the book
titled ‘Anau - Culture from the Depths of Millennia’ by President of
Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov was held in Astana. This year, by the
decision of TURKSOY, this ancient city was proclaimed the cultural capital of
the Turkic world. In this scholarly work, the author delves into the history
and development of the seven-thousand-year-old city from its inception to the
present day. The book is published in Turkmen, English, and Russian languages,
with plans to translate it into Kazakh as well.
“This city holds great
significance not only for Turkmens, but also for Central Asia as a whole, given
that the Oghuz and Kipchak civilizations thrived there. The book is of great
importance for the scholarly community. Relations between our countries are
actively evolving, especially in cultural and scientific exchange. The Turkic
Academy plays a special role in this regard,” Askhat Kessikbayev, Vice President
of the Turkic Academy, said.
