The winner of the tennis tournament became French player Adrian Mannarino, who defeated American Sebastian Korda, ranked 28th in the ATP singles, in the final. The game lasted more than two hours. Mannarino, previously placed 34th, beat his opponent in three sets, 4-6, 6-3 and 6-2, and now will move up to 28th place in the world rankings. The duo from the U.S. won the doubles title. Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow defeated Croatian Mate Pavic and Australian John Pierce. It bears noting that the competition in Astana attracted attention not only in Kazakhstan but also outside the country. For eight days of the tournament, the matches held at the National Tennis Center were attended by over 16,000 spectators and broadcasted by more than 80 countries.

“So, I had to go and try my chance, and finally I had it. I really liked this tournament because of the atmosphere. The people are really kind to all the players. That makes us feel really good during the week. They’re making a lot of effort for us. We have a very nice hotel, great food, and favorable conditions for playing, thus, I can’t hope for anything better. This is why I’m always back and happy to be back,” said Mannarino.
