The achievements of Kazakhstan’s
Kabirkhan, who entered the history of horse riding by
winning prestigious world races, has propelled the country’s equestrian sport particularly
flat racing to a new level, according to horse owner Tlek Mukhambetkaliyev. He
acquired the two-year-old tulpar two years ago, and since then, under his
guidance, Kabirkhan has participated in 11 races across Kazakhstan, Russia, and
the UAE, losing only once.
“These are our awards. As you
know, the first trophy we won in Dubai was at the Al Maktoum Challenge. This
year, Kazakhstan will host the Nomad Games. With Kabirkhan’s accomplishments,
we’re seeing a surge in new horse owners. I anticipate a significant promotion
for flat racing at the international level,” said Mukhambetkaliyev.
Kabirkhan
is captivating fans worldwide with his skills. On March 30, the horse will take
part in the prestigious Dubai World Cup, one of the biggest events in the
equestrian world, with a prize fund of $12 million. High rating and victory in
the Dubai horse races in January allowed Kabirkhan to participate in the
competition. As noted by trainer Doug Watson, winners of the past years will
compete in the upcoming horse racing. Kabirkhan became the first Kazakhstan’s
racehorse to participate in the Dubai World Cup.
“Everything is going well. He’s
been consistently working every week. He worked by himself, very quick work at
home, came out of it great. He looks great, and he’s very fresh. I don’t think
I’ve ever had a horse that works at home this well. I believe in him,” said
Watson.
