This year, the theme of the forum
for Kazakh-language modern online content creators taking place in Astana is ‘The
Vision of the Future. New Technologies and Media’. Participants discussed the
integration of artificial intelligence in the media sphere, the safety of its
application, the development of the creative industry, and modern technologies
in the media market. Over 300 individuals, including media experts, reporters,
and influencers, gathered to exchange views on the relevant issues.
“In Kazakhstan, the most advanced
content is primarily in the Kazakh language. Thus, the top 20 songs on the
Gakku TV channel, which broadcasts in both Kazakh and Russian, are mostly
Kazakh. Overall, there are many projects with viewership numbers reaching 8-10
million,” said media expert Zhanassyl Bolatbek.
The forum featured masterclasses
and presentations of innovative media projects. For the first time, a
360-degree video report was showcased enabling a full sense of presence.
Another developer presented an AI-generated art project.
“The feature of our project is that,
for example, when people view an image on a phone screen, they only perceive
information visually. These glasses will immerse them into a particular
situation, allowing them to comprehend and experience emotions firsthand
through special cameras and programs,” said project author Bauyrzhan
Baktygereyev.
“I fantasize about what van Gogh’s
perspective and vision of Astana would be like. There are also anime-style
projects in Almaty. I transform old images and photographs into animation. I
try to incorporate my own vision into the works. Artificial intelligence is
capable of opening up new possibilities and implementing new ideas,” said
project author Bakdaulet Bekzhanov.
