Astana hosts evening of symphonic music

An evening of symphonic music with an Italian flair was held in Astana. Renowned pianist Giuseppe Gullotta delighted classical music enthusiasts with his performance, masterfully playing the famous piece by Franz Liszt—Piano Concerto No. 1, known for its distinctive sound and dynamics. The program also featured masterpieces by world-renowned composers such as Verdi, Bellini, and Mascagni, performed by the country’s leading musical ensemble, the Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Italian maestro Samuele Galeano.

«This is my first time in Kazakhstan, and I have greatly enjoyed collaborating with the State Symphony Orchestra. It is a very talented ensemble. Our work was primarily focused on the music of Italian composers. In the future, I would like to present the best works of famous Kazakh composers to the audience with this symphony orchestra. To achieve this, I intend to study and fully immerse myself in the world of traditional Kazakh music,» shared conductor Samuele Galeano.

«This is my third time in Kazakhstan. For the second time, we are performing together with the Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra. I would like to highlight their mastery. This year, the ensemble embarked on a tour to Sicily. Several concerts were held in Italy, delighting the local audience. I believe this was one of the best projects in the world of music,» noted pianist Giuseppe Gullotta.
