In a historic first state visit by the President of Guinea-Bissau, President Tokayev and President Embaló met in Kazakhstan’s Akorda residence to strengthen bilateral ties, build partnerships, and sign key agreements. Discussions covered potential cooperation in agriculture, mining, transport, and digitalization, with a particular focus on Kazakhstan’s experience in Fintech, GovTech, and e-government solutions. Both leaders emphasized the importance of Africa for Kazakhstan and highlighted opportunities to connect Guinea-Bissau’s port with the Trans-Caspian transport corridor. They also stressed the need to capitalize on the Islamic Organization for Food Security and to explore joint work in mining and natural resource development. Committing to closer political, trade, and cultural cooperation, the presidents agreed to deepen contacts in international platforms and further develop their multifaceted partnership.
