About 300 artisans from more than 70 countries took part in the 3rd international festival of folk and applied arts in Uzbekistan. The program included fairs and exhibitions showcasing the works of craft artists. In addition, specialized conferences provided a platform for masters to share their professional experience. The event also featured the 2nd International Pottery Forum, held at the largest glazed ceramics production center in Central Asia, located in the Rishton district. Potters from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Tatarstan, Moldova, Georgia, Turkmenistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and Iran presented their products there. At the conclusion of the forum, documents were signed to promote cooperation in trade and tourism.
«Because this thing is very important for the economy, for everything, to make contact with other people. And maybe in the future, I will think about making business with people from Uzbekistan because the country’s ceramics is very good,» said Omar Tahhat, ceramist from Jordan.
«I attended the previous festival, and it was very interesting. There are so many fascinating artists here. Your history and land are rich in traditions, and that’s exactly what you want to take with you,» shared Snezhana Khairullina, festival participant from Russia.
