Almaty museums recognized as best in Turkic world

The Association of Almaty Museums, which includes eight galleries with a total collection of more than 60,000 exhibits, received the Best Museum of the Turkic World award. According to Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev, this esteemed recognition highlights the Association’s efforts in promoting national values and the historical and cultural heritage of the people both in Kazakhstan and abroad.

«Last year, an exhibition was held in Naples, Italy. This year, it was successfully hosted in Prague, at the heart of Europe, and garnered significant attention. The museums showcased the rich spiritual heritage of the Kazakh people in their displays. The exhibition offered visitors a great opportunity to delve into this legacy. In recognition of the museum’s continuous impactful efforts, TURKSOY awarded it a prestigious honor,» said Raev.

In addition, traveling exhibitions dedicated to the culture and traditions of the nomads of Kazakhstan have been organized in cities across Türkiye, South Korea, and Austria. According to experts, these efforts not only promote Kazakh culture abroad but also attract tourists to the country.
