All tours to the fifth World
Nomad Games scheduled for this autumn have been sold out in the United Kingdom
(UK). According to the Kazakh Tourism national company, UK residents show particular
interest in visiting Kazakhstan, which is increasingly mentioned in prestigious
international travel magazines and media outlets. Experts attribute this to the
active development of tourism in the country. Kazakhstan was included in the
top 24 must-travel places in the ranking of the world publication Wanderlust, standing
out as the only Central Asian country named in the list.
“Kazakhstan annually becomes a
center of attraction for foreign tourists as a relatively new destination,
especially for American and European Wanderlust readers. Being featured in such
a prestigious magazine marks significant progress in the development of
domestic tourism. It is also important to spread awareness about the World
Nomad Games, which will take place in Astana this year. We aspire to showcase
Kazakhstan, particularly Astana, from a fresh perspective,” said Kairat
Sadvakassov, Chairman of the Kazakh Tourism National Company.
Over one million foreign tourists visit Kazakhstan in 2023
Recent statistical data shows an increase
in the inflow of foreign travelers to Kazakhstan. For example, last year over a
million tourists visited the country, which is 17 percent more compared to 928,000
foreigners in 2022. The number of Kazakh citizens opting for domestic tourism
has surged by 647,500 and surpassed seven million people.
