Over 4 million children in Kazakhstan will attend school
this year, including more than 340,000 first graders. Preparations for the new
academic year were discussed at a government meeting.
«A key feature of the new school year will be the
integration of artificial intelligence into the secondary education system. AI
has been incorporated into the subjects Digital Literacy and Computer Science,
and ethical standards have been established. Day of AI online courses have been
developed for students in grades 1-11, and training programs will be offered
for teachers,» said Gani Beisembayev, Kazakh Minister of Education.
AI will be integrated into digital literacy classes for
grades 1-4, using free Kazakh- and Russian-language content with interactive
lessons. Plans also include introducing AI technologies into the system of
technical and vocational education.
