The volume of investments in agriculture is growing in
Kazakhstan. The Turkistan region ranks among the leaders in this indicator. A
total of 150 billion tenge has been invested in the agro-industrial complex.
The region is constructing one of the largest greenhouses in the country, with
plans also in place to build cotton-processing plants. Meanwhile, farmers in
the region are supplying the domestic market with vegetables and melons. The
region also leads the country in meat exports, producing 80 percent of beef and
75 percent of lamb exported abroad.
«A large investment project with a full production cycle -
from raw materials to finished products - is being implemented. The project is
valued at 180 billion tenge. The construction of a textile factory has already
begun. Additionally, a pipe manufacturing plant is being constructed on 50
hectares of land,» noted Yermukhammed Kuralbekov, deputy head of the Agriculture
Department of the Turkistan region.
The Zhambyl region also shows good performance. This year,
16 large-scale projects are being implemented in the region, aimed at
developing its agro-industrial complex. The total investment amounts to 14.5
billion tenge. These projects include the creation of a fish farm, an increase
in safflower oil production, and the launch of an apple juice production
facility. New state credit programs in sectors such as poultry farming also
contribute to the start of new projects. Over the next four years, 36 projects
worth more than 245 billion tenge are planned to be implemented in the sector.
«Two tractor assembly projects worth five billion tenge are
being implemented in the Zhambyl region. The launch of these enterprises will
provide farmers with affordable agricultural machinery, thereby boosting labor
productivity in the industry. Additionally, the construction of a corn deep
processing plant has begun in the region jointly with the Chinese company Fufeng
Group. A total of 173 billion tenge will be invested in the production. Next
year, 50 billion tenge in investments are expected to be attracted to the
agro-industrial complex,» said Zhambyl region governor Yerbol Karashukeyev.
