Kazakh farmers will be able to use agricultural drones in their operations. Plans are in place to purchase 80 drones under an agreement with China. These drones will become essential tools for watering crops, delivering, and spraying fertilizers, even in hard-to-reach areas. Capable of operating in any weather and at any time of day, they are expected to help optimize costs and significantly enhance production efficiency. This is supported by international experience with drones, which are used in over 100 countries. According to the relevant ministry, agricultural drones will not only be imported but also assembled in Kazakhstan. A joint venture with a Chinese company will begin production at the Alatau Special Economic Zone. Additionally, a roadmap for the development and integration of agricultural drones into farming is set to be developed within three months.
«In addition, the issue of opening demonstration and service centres for agricultural drones has been worked out with the regional socio-entrepreneurial corporations from Taraz, Semei, and Turkistan. The issue of training pilots and assemblers at the Polytechnic College in Talgar, in the village of Kaplanbek, and in Semei has also been worked out,» said Almat Suleimenov, Head of Department at the State Inspection Committee in the Agro-Industrial Complex.
