Adai horses to participate in International Equestrian Marathon

Adai racehorses can become another symbol of the Kazakh brand and get the status of a separate breed. These animals will showcase their unpretentious nature and remarkable endurance at international horse races. The 100-kilometer tournament will be held in the Mangystau region. The Adai horses will be evaluated by judges from the United Arab Emirates. According to experts, the Kazakh breed presents a worthy competition to Arabian horses, especially at long distances. In total, more than 30 of the country’s top horse riders will participate in the races, which will comprise four stages. Riders will need to complete several laps of 30 and 20 kilometers. The condition of the racehorses will be monitored after each round. It bears noting that Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has instructed the government to commence work on the scientific recognition of the Adai horse and its breeding as a pedigree animal. Currently, work is underway to establish the Adai racehorses as a distinct breed, which will be completed by the end of December.
