Kazakhstan has achieved a new
record among Turkic-speaking countries. For the first time, 500 young horse riders
aged four to 15 from the Abai region participated in the tradition of «Ashamaiyga
otyru» (Sitting in the saddle) and successfully saddled horses. This achievement
has been registered in Kazakhstan’s Book of Records. According to organizers,
preparation spanned two months, during which children were trained in
equestrian basics while adhering to safety rules.
«Preparation involved collaborative efforts
with parents and rural governor’s offices. The event aimed to achieve
goals such as reducing children’s internet and social media addiction, as well
as reviving and preserving national traditions,» said school principal Anar
Sadybekova.
