The Kazakh Central Election Commission has launched an election observation mission. The first group of 43 representatives of international organizations and one foreign state were accredited by the CEC. They will monitor the early presidential election scheduled for November 20 in Kazakhstan, CEC Secretary Mukhtar Yerman announced at a meeting in Astana.
“There are six observers from the CIS Observer Mission, 17 from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, 13 from the election observation mission of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, five from from the Organization of Turkic States and two observers from Georgia,” said CEC Secretary Mukhtar Yerman.
