1,980 health workers out of 6,300 have received COVID-19 vaccine over the last two weeks in the capital of Kazakhstan. They did not have any complications. This was reported at an online briefing by Deputy Head of the city’s Public Health Department Aliya Rustemova. She said that staff of infectious diseases hospitals, multidisciplinary hospitals, ambulances, primary health care, sanitary and epidemiological services, and intensive care units undergo the vaccination. Doctors in Nur-Sultan received the Russian-made “Sputnik V” vaccine, which is injected twice with an interval of three weeks. Aliya Rustemova noted that the second stage of the immunization will start on February 22. The next supply of the vaccine is expected at the end of the month. After that, health workers will continue to be vaccinated. Then, teachers and professors of schools and universities, law enforcement officers, people with chronic diseases and a number of other categories will receive the vaccine.
