Coronavirus is receding. The incidence of the dangerous infection in Kazakhstan has declined by 36 percent in two weeks, said Kazakh Health Minister Alexey Tsoy at the Government’s meeting. According to him, the number of fatalities decreased as well, comparing to the mid-September, when the death rate was almost three times higher than it is now.
“The number of infected people per day has declined 3.6 times over the past month. Also, there is a decrease in the number of patients who receive in-patient treatment by 2.4 times, from 25,000 on August 27 to 10,500 on September 27. The number of patients receiving outpatient care has decreased by 1.7 times from 89,000 to 51,000.” announced Kazakh Health Minister Alexey Tsoy.
Since August 1, Kazakhstan has seen a reduction of burden on beds in infectious hospitals. 57 COVID-19 hospitals were closed in the country. To date, there are four regions in the “green” zone, including Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, Mangystau and Turkistan regions.
